Gridlet is a daily crossword puzzle app. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
Gridlet has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not collect, receive, or have access to any of your information.
Gridlet stores your puzzle progress, solve times, and streak on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, this data also syncs through your own iCloud account so your progress stays consistent across your devices.
Syncing uses Apple's CloudKit service and your personal iCloud account. Your puzzle data lives in your private iCloud database, which only you can access. We cannot see it, and it is never sent to us or to anyone else. Apple's handling of data stored in iCloud is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
To turn syncing off, open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, then iCloud, then See All under "Apps Using iCloud," and switch Gridlet off. Gridlet will then keep your data on your device only.
Deleting the app removes the copy stored on your device. If you have used iCloud sync, a copy remains in your iCloud account and will be restored if you reinstall. To remove it, go to Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Account Storage, select Gridlet, and delete its data.
Gridlet downloads puzzle files from a public server. These downloads do not include any identifying information about you beyond what is standard for any web request (such as your device's IP address, which the server does not store or log).
Gridlet does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools, and contains no third-party SDKs. The only external services involved are Apple's iCloud and the puzzle server, both described above.
Gridlet is suitable for users of all ages. The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date above will change. Any future changes will appear at this same URL.
